tappON gives you flexibility to set your own rates for the services you offer. With the introduction of the NDIS Support Professionals have flexibility and freedom on services and rates.

The NDIS released a guideline on what should be paid per hour or per session for each type of service. This is updated yearly and is called the Price Guide. The Price Guide helps the NDIS determine how much funding should be available to participants,. This is based on how many hours of support they need.

When setting your rates, it’s important to have a look at the Price Guide to help determine what rate you are going to set.

For example;

Assistance with Daily Living (Weekday) is currently capped at $53.40. If you’re a personal carer, you cannot charge more than this if working with an NDIS Plan Managed client.

This is important, as when a client is Plan Managed they cannot pay above this rate. This is a rule set by the NDIS, so it’s important to make sure your rates are in line with the NDIS Price Guide when working with NDIS Plan Managed clients.

Self Managed clients are able to pay whatever they wish and are comfortable with.

It’s always best when booking with a client to check that they are comfortable with your rates and do they need to be adjusted to fit within the NDIS guidelines.

You can learn more about how to adjust your rates on your tappON Profile here. You can also contact the tappON team for further advice.
